Job hub for veterans and service members
If enacted, this bill would create the Veterans Transition Talent Hub run by the Department of Veterans Affairs. You would be able to join if you are a veteran. Service members would be able to join if they are eligible for preseparation counseling under 10 U.S.C. §1142. Approved employers and other entities the VA selects would be able to search participant data. Searchable information would include anticipated discharge or release date; military and civilian skills, certifications, or credentials; geographic and job preferences; and a resume or profile. Participation would be voluntary. The VA Secretary would consult with the Secretaries of Defense and Labor, employers, veterans service organizations recognized under 38 U.S.C. §5902, and State workforce agencies.
