American-made goods in park stores
If enacted, park gift shops and visitor centers would only be able to sell products mostly made in the United States. The rule would take effect one year after enactment. To qualify, a product would need final assembly or processing in the U.S., all significant processing in the U.S., and all or virtually all parts or ingredients sourced in the U.S. The Secretary of the Interior would have to set up certification, audit, and enforcement procedures by that same date. This would help U.S. makers but could raise costs or reduce product choices for park stores and visitors.
