More weather help for low-income and military

This bill would authorize $350 million per year for the Weatherization Assistance Program for fiscal years 2026 through 2030. It would also set aside $2.1 million per year to carry out targeted weatherization activities for active duty and reserve military households. At the same time, it would limit each year to 6% the share of certain WAP funds (section 422(3)(A)) that can be used for those enhancement activities, excluding amounts for Department of Energy headquarters training or technical assistance. The bill would also change a date in the program from 2025 to 2030 so these rules apply through 2030.
