More grants for quantum modeling research

This bill would expand the legal definition of Quantum Information Science to include modeling and simulation. It would also add quantum molecular modeling or simulation to the list of research topics federal QIS programs can support. If enacted, university researchers, national labs, and private companies could be more clearly eligible to apply for QIS grants or contracts for those projects. The bill does not provide new money or change funding amounts.
