Recognizing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for their work in protecting communities from violent criminals and illegal aliens.
Sponsored By: Representative Rep. Carter, Earl L. "Buddy" [R-GA-1]
Introduced
Summary
Reaffirming support for ICE agents facing threats and harassment. This House resolution would echo findings that the Biden administration failed to identify and prosecute some people entering illegally at the southern border and that ICE has disrupted foreign criminal and drug networks. It would condemn political violence against law enforcement, call on State and local officers to help investigate threats against Federal personnel, note an alleged 8,000 percent rise in death threats against ICE staff, and thank ICE for helping screen passengers and bolster airport security during the DHS shutdown.
