Review lung cancer research for women

If enacted, HHS would lead an interagency review of federal lung cancer research and preventive services focused on women and underserved groups. HHS would consult with the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. The review would identify research gaps, consider environmental and genomic studies, and look for ways to raise screening rates among groups the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends. Not later than two years after enactment, HHS would send a report to specified House and Senate committees summarizing findings, current projects, recommended changes, and legal or statutory barriers.
