Higher pensions for Medal of Honor recipients

If enacted, living Medal of Honor recipients would receive $8,333.33 per month instead of $1,406.73. Surviving spouses covered by the rule would receive $1,406.73 per month. Both amounts could later be adjusted under subsection (e) of current law. These changes would apply only to people who meet section 1562 eligibility rules. They would take effect upon enactment.
