Lower moving taxes for intelligence employees

If enacted, intelligence community employees and new appointees who must move for an assignment change would be able to deduct qualifying moving expenses. Employer reimbursements for qualifying moving costs would also be excluded from taxable income. This would not apply to active-duty members of the Armed Forces. The changes would apply to tax years beginning after the law is enacted and remain subject to current moving-expense rules and limits.
