Permitting display of symbols of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for official U.S. diplomatic and military activities. The bill would require the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense to allow U.S. Armed Forces members and government representatives from the Republic of China or the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) to display the Taiwan flag and corresponding military emblems on official uniforms, at government-hosted ceremonies, and on Department of State and Department of Defense social media promoting engagements with Taiwan.
