Faster natural gas export approvals for businesses

If enacted, this bill would create an expedited approval track under the Natural Gas Act for most natural gas exports and imports. Countries under U.S. sanctions would be excluded from the expedited track. The President or Congress could also designate other countries to exclude for national security reasons. Exports or imports to Canada and Mexico would not need an order under subsection (a). U.S. exporters and importers would likely get faster federal authorizations. Households could see indirect effects on natural gas prices or supply. These changes would take effect upon enactment.
