If enacted, Small Business Development Centers would have to give small businesses information and help on starting and improving work-based learning, apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and job training. They would need to share relevant guidance from the Department of Labor and other federal agencies. Work-based learning would be defined as in the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, and apprenticeships would include programs registered under the National Apprenticeship Act.
