This bill would require school districts that get funds under the Act to put crisis hotline contacts on secondary student ID cards. IDs would need contact info for 988, the Crisis Text Line, and a state or local suicide hotline if the district selects one. If a district does not issue physical IDs, it would have to post the same contacts on public websites and student portals, starting 60 days after the section's effective date. The Education Secretary would run outreach with HHS and other agencies and must make materials accessible to people with disabilities.
