Regional quantum hubs support for businesses

If enacted, the bill would authorize grants and other support for regional quantum innovation and for adopting viable quantum capabilities. Small- and medium-sized businesses, startups, industry, nonprofits, and universities in supported regions would be eligible to participate. The program would be carried out with the Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Energy, and the Director of the National Science Foundation and may include activities under section 10388 of the R&D, Competition, and Innovation Act. The bill would also direct a federal subcommittee to build interagency partnerships to strengthen regional innovation and address regional, national, societal, or geostrategic challenges. It would take effect upon enactment and does not set any funding amounts.
