Public Service Recognition Week would be designated for May 4–10, 2025 to honor federal, state, and local government employees and members of the uniformed services for their service. The resolution praises millions who defend freedom, deliver benefits such as Social Security and Medicare, fight disease and fires, protect the environment, teach, support veterans, and help communities recover from disasters. It also salutes those who died in service and encourages promoting careers in public service.
