The law updates the fee schedule for corporate filings. You must pay the listed fee to the Department of Finance and show proof when you file. Examples: $450 to file Articles of Organization or Incorporation; $250 to reinstate after administrative dissolution; expedited service $459. The law ends daily penalty fees. Thirty days after the Commerce Department procures and implements a permanent online filing system, the 25% fee cut ends and fees return to their prior amounts.
The Secretary of Finance must open a Commerce Registrar of Corporation Account. Seventy-five percent of fees under 4 CMC § 4205 go into this account with no year-end lapse. The Secretary of Commerce can spend these funds. The law does not set a specific dollar amount.
