Electronic sales tax notices for businesses

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Department of Revenue can send sales and use tax notices to the contact info in its records. If you gave an email or other electronic contact, notices can be sent electronically. Mailed notices to your address on file still count.

New notice rules start July 1, 2026

This law takes effect July 1, 2026. From that date, the Department may use the new electronic and contact-based notice options.
