Summary

The Secretary of a military department can give a WIC office space on a military base for no rent or utility charges if four things are true: the office serves only service members assigned to the base, DoD civilian employees there, or their dependents; space is available; the office won’t interfere with the base’s mission; and security allows a non‑federal group on the base. Services means basic utilities (for example, lights, heating, cooling, and electricity). WIC office means a local agency that runs the WIC nutrition program for women, infants, and children.
