§335 Payment of personnel expenses necessary for participation in training program conducted by Colombia under the United States-Colombia Action Plan for Regional Security

Summary

The Secretary of Defense can pay for training supplies, travel, lodging, similar costs, and extra pay for people taking part in Colombia’s training program under the U.S.–Colombia Action Plan for Regional Security. Payments may go to defense personnel of friendly governments and, with the Secretary of State’s agreement, to other government or nongovernmental staff; they normally cover people from developing countries unless the Secretary finds extraordinary circumstances and it serves U.S. national security.
