Makes it a crime to lie, use fake papers, or cheat to get money, property, or approval from the United States or its officers. People who are covered by these rules can be punished for such acts. It includes knowingly filing a false claim or asking for payment on a false claim; using or making false documents, swearing to untrue statements, or using forged signatures to get approval or payment; giving less government money or property than a receipt says when you handle it; and signing or giving papers that say the government received property when you do not know that is true and intend to cheat.
