Title 12 › Chapter CHAPTER 46— - GOVERNMENT SPONSORED ENTERPRISES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - SUPERVISION AND REGULATION OF ENTERPRISES › Part Part B— - Additional Authorities of the Director › Subpart subpart 3— - enforcement › § 4583
A company involved in a case under sections 4581 or 4585 can ask the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to change, end, or cancel a final order by filing a written petition within 30 days after the order was served. The court clerk sends the petition to the Director, who must file the case record with the court under 28 U.S.C. 2112. Once the petition and record are filed, that court has the exclusive power to affirm, modify, end, or set aside the Director’s order (except as noted in the last sentence of section 4582(b)(2)). The review follows chapter 7 of title 5. The court can order payment of any penalty the Director imposed. Asking for review does not automatically stop the Director’s order unless the court orders a stay.
