Sets one official gauge chart for sheet and plate iron and steel in the United States. The chart ties each gauge number to its thickness and weight, shown in inch fractions, decimal inches, millimeters, ounces and pounds per square foot, and kilograms and pounds per square meter. Only this chart may be used when the United States figures duties and taxes on sheet and plate iron and steel. This rule cannot be used to raise import duties on any imported articles.
