§4506 Termination

Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 71— - PETROLEUM OVERCHARGE DISTRIBUTION AND RESTITUTION › § 4506

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

The rules in this chapter (except section 4504) stop 90 days after the Secretary does two things: decides that all restitution amounts covered by section 4501(a) have been collected and paid out under the chapter, and sends Congress the final report required by section 4505. That final report must explain the Secretary’s decision and why, and it must be published in the Federal Register. The rule in section 4502(d) stays in effect for how restitution money from this chapter can be used as long as those funds are still available.
