§5305 Review

Summary

The Secretary must regularly check and evaluate the research work of selected applicants. After looking at the Board’s reports under section 5306(b)(2), the Secretary must decide whether each applicant followed the original management plan and any later changes. Each selected applicant must give an annual report on progress, compliance with the plan, any needed or made changes, and planned new research. If an applicant seriously fails to carry out the plan and research, the Secretary must stop funding. When research ends or funding is stopped, the Secretary must use available funds appropriated under this chapter to ask for new research proposals under section 5304.
