Manufacturers must keep records that show the fiber content of every textile product they make. People who replace a stamp, tag, label, or other ID under section 70c(b) must keep records showing the removed ID and the name(s) of the supplier. All these records must be kept for at least three years. Failing to keep these records is illegal and is treated as an unfair or deceptive practice under the Federal Trade Commission Act.
