Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XXI— - ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK › § 192b–6
The Secretary of the Interior can trade certain buildings and land in Rocky Mountain National Park with the Colorado Transportation Company. The government may transfer its use interest in the Fall River Pass Building next to Trail Ridge Road (section 36, township 6 north, range 75 west) but not the ground under it, and the United States will keep free use of the alpine exhibit room for two years. The Secretary may also transfer the United States’ ownership of Grand Lake Lodge (parcel A), including the land and buildings. In return, the Secretary can accept parcels C and D and other private lands in the park that he chooses. The United States must get property of approximately equal value, and any value difference must be paid in money. All actions must follow the agreement dated February 7, 1961, between the United States and the Colorado Transportation Company.
