Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LIV— - EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK › § 410o
The Secretary of the Interior can transfer certain federal land and water to the State of Florida (as-is) in return for Florida giving the United States all land and water it owns inside the Everglades National Park boundary described in section 410i. Removing any land from the park under section 410i only happens if Florida gives those state-owned lands to the United States at the same time, including lands it got earlier to pass on. That transfer must occur before the Secretary can buy privately owned land inside the park boundary set in section 410i and outside the area in sections 410e–410h, except when the land is donated.
