Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LX— - NATIONAL MILITARY PARKS › § 430h–6
Adds two small tracts of land to Vicksburg National Military Park by letting the Secretary of the Interior pick them up. The Secretary may obtain about 2.5 acres in Madison Parish, Louisiana (the Grant’s Canal property) and about 2.82 acres next to the park entrance owned by Warren County, Mississippi, by donation, trade, or purchase with donated or government funds. The Secretary may help pay or provide services to move and build a replacement maintenance building under an agreement with the county board, and may restore and landscape the acquired land. After the land is acquired and a notice appears in the Federal Register, the Secretary must update the park boundary to include these properties.
