Creates the Assateague Island National Seashore to protect and develop Assateague Island, nearby small marsh islands, and nearby waters in Maryland and Virginia for public outdoor recreation and enjoyment. The seashore includes the island, the marsh islands, and water out to one-half mile beyond the mean high waterline as shown on the map "Proposed Assateague Island National Seashore, Boundary Map, NS–AI–7100A, November, 1964," which is on file and open for public inspection at the Department of the Interior.
