Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LXVII— - COTTAGE SITE DEVELOPMENTS AND USES IN RESERVOIR AREAS › § 460e
Allows the Secretary of the Army to sell government-owned land in reservoir areas he controls when the land is not needed for the project or for public recreation and is being used, or could be used, for cottage sites. Land that was leased for cottage sites on August 6, 1956 cannot be sold to anyone else until sixty days after the written notice called for in section 460f or until the lease ends, whichever comes later. During that time the tenant has the right to buy the land if the Secretary says it can be sold.
