Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LXXIX— - INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK › § 460u–10
Protects rights-of-way and easements that existed on March 1, 1975 for high‑voltage electric lines, pipelines, water mains, or line‑haul railroad work. It also keeps Northern Indiana Public Service Company’s property rights as of October 1, 1986 for two parcels it owns outright and uses for transmission lines and utilities. One parcel runs from the Dune Acres substation east to the Michigan City Generating Station and is shown as area II–I on National Park Service Boundary Map No. 626–80,033–B (October 1986), but excludes about 6.0 acres next to Mineral Springs Road. The other parcel is shown as area II–H on the same map.
