Summary

The Institute can give money to low-income students to help them take part in its programs. It offers two kinds of aid: summer stipends and Ralph Bunche scholarships. A summer stipend must be used to pay costs for joining a summer program, like travel, housing, and school supplies, and cannot be more than $3,000 for one summer. A Ralph Bunche scholarship is for full-time students who are accepted into an Institute program and must be used for the school’s cost of attendance (as defined in federal law). That scholarship cannot be more than $5,000 per academic year.
