Title 20 › Chapter CHAPTER 33— - EDUCATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - GENERAL PROVISIONS › § 1407
States that get money under this law must make their rules and policies match the law’s goals. They must tell local school districts and the Secretary in writing about any state requirement that is not required by the law or by federal rules, and keep the number of state requirements on districts and schools small. State rules must help school districts and schools improve so children with disabilities can meet the State’s challenging academic standards.
