The President must impose sanctions on anyone put on a special list. The President had to send that list to the right congressional committees no later than 90 days after August 10, 2012. The list covers people who, on or after June 12, 2009, took part in censoring Iranians or blocking their right to speak or assemble, or who helped limit access to print or broadcast media (including jamming or other ways to stop international signals). The President must send updated lists whenever the law requires and when new information appears. The main list must be unclassified and made public. It can include a classified annex. The public list must be posted on the Department of the Treasury and Department of State websites.
