Title 22 › Chapter CHAPTER 103— - BETTER UTILIZATION OF INVESTMENTS LEADING TO DEVELOPMENT › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - ESTABLISHMENT › § 9611
The United States will help poorer countries grow by using private investment, loans, and other financial support. It works with businesses and other groups to do this. The goal is to attract private money for steady, wide-reaching growth and poverty reduction while supporting U.S. foreign policy. It also aims to strengthen civic institutions, fix identifiable market gaps without hurting competition, produce clear development results, coordinate with similar agencies, offer a transparent alternative to state-directed investments (watching environmental, social, and debt risks), and help countries move toward self-reliance.
