The Secretary must set up programs, through the Service, in every Service area to treat Indian children who were sexually abused or live in an Indian household, and their families. Funding must cover community education and prevention; behavioral health treatment for victims and family; prevention and intervention that use traditional care and cultural values; and culturally appropriate assessment tools for Indian communities and urban centers. Programs must coordinate with programs under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
