The Chairman must notify each Indian tribe or management contractor who, before October 17, 1988, had passed an ordinance or resolution allowing class II or class III gaming or had a management contract that those documents and any related agreements must be sent to him for review within 60 days of the notice. Games run under those documents stay valid unless the Chairman disapproves them. For ordinances or resolutions, the Chairman must decide within 90 days if they meet the rules in section 2710(b). If yes, he approves them. If no, he gives written changes and the tribe has up to 120 days to fix them. For management contracts, he must finish the review under section 2711 within 180 days. If the contract and manager meet the rules, he approves it. If not, he tells the parties what to change and they have 120 days to comply, except contracts approved by the Secretary before October 17, 1988 get 180 days.
