§3008 Grants

Summary

The Secretary can give grants to Indian tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations to help them return Native American cultural items. The Secretary can also give grants to museums to help them do the inventories and identification required under sections 3003 and 3004.

Title 25, §3008

(a)The Secretary is authorized to make grants to Indian tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations for the purpose of assisting such tribes and organizations in the repatriation of Native American cultural items.
(b)The Secretary is authorized to make grants to museums for the purpose of assisting the museums in conducting the inventories and identification required under section 3003 and 3004 of this title.
