Title 28 › Part PART I— - ORGANIZATION OF COURTS › Chapter CHAPTER 23— - CIVIL JUSTICE EXPENSE AND DELAY REDUCTION PLANS › § 474
Chief judges must meet as a committee to review every plan and report a district court files under section 472(d). They must suggest actions the district court can take to cut costs and speed up civil cases. A chief judge may pick another judge to do this work for them. The Judicial Conference must also review each plan and report submitted under section 472(d). It may ask a district court to do more if the Conference thinks the court has not properly dealt with problems in its civil or criminal case schedules or with the advice of the court’s advisory group.
