Title 29 › Chapter CHAPTER 32— - WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES › Part Part C— - Job Corps › § 3196
Being enrolled in the Job Corps does not free you from duties under the Military Selective Service Act. You still must follow the Selective Service (the military draft) rules. No one may be enrolled in the Job Corps for more than 2 years, except in four cases: completing advanced career training can add up to 1 additional year; a person with a disability who is likely to meet Job Corps graduate standards can get 1 additional year; time spent doing national service in a Civilian Conservation Center extends enrollment by that same amount of time; or the Secretary may allow an extension in a special case.
