Title 29 › Chapter CHAPTER 16— - VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND OTHER REHABILITATION SERVICES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES › Part Part A— - General Provisions › § 728a
A State can use money it gets under section 731 to teach and help employers who have hired or want to hire people with disabilities through these programs. The State may train employers about hiring people with disabilities, disability awareness, and following the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and other job laws. It may set up work-based learning (like internships, short jobs, apprenticeships), help with pre-employment transition, recruit and train workers with disabilities, and point out barriers to keeping a job. The State can also advise on workplace accommodations, assistive technology, and building access with community and interstate partners, and help employers find and use financial help for hiring or adapting jobs.
