Summary

Defines three terms used in the chapter. Director is the head of the Office of Management and Budget. State includes any State and these territories: Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. Municipality is any local government unit below the county level that got federal aid in the fiscal year the report covers.

As used in this chapter, the term—

(1)“Director” means the Director of the Office of Management and Budget;

(2)“State” means any State, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, the Government of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands; and

(3)“municipality” means any subcounty unit of general local government that received Federal assistance in the fiscal year that is the subject of the report.
