Permits issued under sections 443–448 that are not picked up by an inspector or deputy must be returned to the harbor supervisor’s office within four days. The towboat captain (or person acting as captain) must write on the permit whether it was used and, if used, the time and place of dumping. Anyone who breaks this rule can be fined between $100 and $500.
