From July 31, 1947, Corps of Engineers money can be used to run power-driven boats only for Government business. Government business means travel, lodging, and subsistence for Federal and State officials on inspection trips for authorized or proposed river, harbor, or flood-control projects. Those costs must be charged to river, harbor, and flood-control appropriations under rules set by the Chief of Engineers and must be certified by the Division Engineer as necessary and proper.
