The Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance can give grants to states and local agencies to help create, put into action, and enforce criminal interstate child support laws and to coordinate enforcement across places. The grant money must be used for five things: a full review of current enforcement and its gaps; planning and carrying out long-term strategies; agreeing on state enforcement priorities; making a plan to carry out those priorities; and coordinating enforcement.
