Title 37 › Chapter CHAPTER 19— - ADMINISTRATION › § 1014
Military basic pay, housing and subsistence allowances, and other regular military pay (not travel, transportation, or separation pay) must be paid on the first day of the month after the month when the pay was earned. That rule still allows a single midmonth payment for any pay type and allows advance payments. For members in the Thrift Savings Plan, half of the monthly TSP deposit may be put into the fund at midmonth.
