§1513 Veterans 65 years of age and older

Summary

The Secretary must pay a pension to each wartime veteran who is 65 years old or older and who meets the service rules listed in section 1521(j). The pension amount and the other eligibility rules follow section 1521, except the rule that requires being permanently and totally disabled does not apply. If a veteran is eligible for a pension under both this rule and section 1521, the veteran will be paid only under section 1521.
