Title 38 › Part PART II— - GENERAL BENEFITS › Chapter CHAPTER 15— - PENSION FOR NON-SERVICE-CONNECTED DISABILITY OR DEATH OR FOR SERVICE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - VETERANS’ PENSIONS › § 1525
If a veteran lost their pension after January 31, 1985 because they started earning money from work or training, they keep the same VA health-care eligibility they had for three years starting on the date the pension stopped. This includes care and services and, when applicable, prescription drugs and medicines. "Terminated by reason of income from work or training" means the pension ended because of pay from a job or training, and the veteran’s other income alone would not have caused the pension to end.
