Title 38 › Part PART VI— - ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY › Chapter CHAPTER 81— - ACQUISITION AND OPERATION OF HOSPITAL AND DOMICILIARY FACILITIES; PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY; ENHANCED-USE LEASES OF REAL PROPERTY › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER V— - ENHANCED-USE LEASES OF REAL PROPERTY › § 8168
Within 120 days after the Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012 became law, and at least once a year after that, the Secretary must send a report about enhanced-use leases to the congressional veterans’ affairs committees, the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, and the House and Senate Budget Committees. Each report must say what the Secretary did to run the leases, how much money from those leases went into the Medical Care Collection Fund account in the most recent fiscal year, how that money was used, and include supporting Department documents. Each year, when the President files the budget under section 1105(a) of title 31, the Secretary must also give a detailed report for each enhanced-use lease. For each lease the report must explain how the payments help veterans, state the amount received, list any other revenues or in-kind services, show the costs of running the lease, and include supporting Department documents.
