Summary

A local government in a State cannot get help from more than one regional Commission in the same fiscal year. If it is in more than one Commission area, it must pick one by writing to that Commission’s Federal Cochairperson and State member. That choice covers that fiscal year and later years unless, at least 90 days before a fiscal year starts, the local government notifies in writing the other Commission’s cochairpersons and copies the cochairpersons of its current Commission. The word "Commission" includes the Appalachian Regional Commission.
