Summary

The President must include with the annual budget, or in a separate written report to Congress for that fiscal year, a short summary and analysis of the most recent reports sent by executive agency heads under the related law. The summary must review cost savings for the prior fiscal year, the current fiscal year, and the fiscal year covered by the budget — showing savings achieved, estimated, and possible in buying, maintaining, leasing, operating, and disposing of government vehicles through three ways: using a qualified private fleet management firm or other contractor; greater use of the General Services Administration’s Interagency Fleet Management System; or other existing vehicle-management systems.
